Fairy Redwoods Elopement
& Oregon Coast Visit
Jessie and Fern had a vision. And it was magical ✨ 🧚♀️
They wanted a getaway from their high-pressure service-industry careers, and a frolic in the Redwoods with their daughter (who played the part of a woodland fairy) was just the ticket.
Of course, no Coastal Redwoods elopement is complete without a run in the waves if you can fit in a visit to the Oregon Coast! So Fern and Jessie booked two days of coverage and we absolutely made the most of it.
We played in the waves.
We walked in a Redwood canopy.
We visited a zoo.
We caught one of the most beautiful sunsets that complemented Jessie’s orange autumnal gown.
What stood out to me about F&J’s relationship was the teamwork. Both of them worked together with their daughter, taking turns feeding her, changing her diapers, and carrying her. It was a true partnership that you don’t get to witness often. They were so in-tune with each other that when one needed help, the other sensed it. And let me tell you, an elopement day with a kiddo can be stressful and always requires extra time. But damn, if their daughter didn’t light up parts of the day.
Their favorite part of their experience: getting to dance on the beach and run through the waves. They’ve taken swing dance classes and were excited to put their skills to practice, barefoot in the sand.
