One of the busiest days of the year for the Oregon Coast didn’t slow down Hakan and Erika. Their Cape Kiwanda intimate wedding, in Pacific City was complete with a gorgeous ceremony in the shadow of the cape, the presence of a celebrity on the beach, as well as several whale sightings by the guests!
What a way to spend your wedding day!

Hakan and Erika moved to Southern Oregon relatively recently, and when they contacted me, they knew they wanted their wedding somewhere on the Oregon Coast. I sent them quite a few locations to choose from. In the end, they chose the picturesque Cape Kiwanda for their ceremony. Who can blame ’em, right?!
When I say busy, I MEAN busy. We had to leave the cars parked at their AirBnbs (good thing they were literally a block away from the beach!). People were jockeying for position for parking spots. They made the perfect decision to stay close by. Everything from the whale we spotted to the weather was gorgeous for this Cape Kiwanda wedding!

My favorite part of the day? Those smiles the peeked out during private moments between the two of them. Sure, there were a lot of people on the beach, but we made sure to go where people were few and far between.
