I met Nami and her husband in Rome, Italy at the terrace overlooking the Piazza del Popolo, with a view of St. Peter’s Basilica in the distance.

I hadn’t gotten the opportunity to meet them beforehand, but from the moment we met, we were fast friends. Both of these amazing people work in technology in Tokyo, Japan. After our photoshoot, we spent a leisurely evening at Pizzare, just off the Via del Corso talking about careers, language, culture, travel and so much. Both are so intelligent, funny, and beautiful! I’m so grateful to have met them. What was supposed to be a couple hours, turned from a bridal photoshoot into a fantastic evening with new friends and delicious pasta (to the waiter at Pizzare – you’re awesome!). We decided that the next time I’m in Japan, they’ll show me the ropes, and when they’re on the west coast of the US, they’ll have a place to stay for as long as they need.

Did I mention that I love travel? The opportunity to meet new friends and experience awesome places/cultures is the best thing ever.

Can we just talk about how adorable it is that men still exist who help their wives like this? <3
