Get ready for this Redwoods & Oregon Coast elopement. Yes, It’s a kickass location, but Rachel & Mitch’s connection in combination with Rachel’s dress may just blow you away. Heck, the dress almost blew Rachel away (you’ll see what I mean).
Rachel and Mitch wanted something different for their wedding day. Nothing like the typical guest drama and bridesmaid debacles. So they decided to have an epic, romantic, and nature vibe elopement, then have a fun, low key reception back home in Florida. A few months after we started working together, Rachel texted me and said “Wait, you know Kendal!!!”. “Why, yes I do!” “You photographed their Glacier National Park elopement – I worked with Kendal while she was in nursing school.”
What a small world. I guess the Sarasota, Florida area attracts awesome people 😉
Rachel & Mitch wanted to check out the Redwoods, but the reason they made the trek across the country was for a specific location along the Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor for their Redwoods & Oregon Coast elopement. And I don’t blame them. As we walked down to the spot, Rachel said, “I can’t believe I’m at the place that lead me to want to get married in this way. And with you capturing it.” Needless to say, this gal was at a loss for words. It’s amazing how a location can speak to someone so much. I mean, I understand it, because I experience it in places like The Redwoods, and the Oregon Coast – but it doesn’t mean it’s any less amazing to me that the outdoors can speak to us so much.
