This Oregon lava field adventure session was cold, and windy. In addition, it was wet. Really wet. But did that stop Whitney, Jeremiah, and I? No way.
During the summer and fall season, this lava field in the Central Oregon Cascades has views of the Three Sisters and Mount Washington. It also is home for a crosspoint for the Pacific Crest Trail, which you may know from either being an outdoorsperson, or the book/film, “Wild”.
Whitney and Jeremiah eloped on the Oregon Coast, so they were more than up for a change of scenery for their adventure session. You can’t really get more drastic change than this backdrop.
This is also the perfect example of embracing the weather. You can’t always have a Plan B, and the rain made for a unique and intimate session. Furthermore, it’s the best justification for a beer at a local brewery afterward!
If you look closely, you can see the raindrops in a dozen of the following images. It adds some dimension to an otherwise flat day, weather-wise.
